some how kind hubby managed to let me out to pub today - something to do with his flu man style) BUT to be fair he did stay home to mind our 6 year old while I went to the pub to do the dutiful daughter bit
is it me or as we get older do we satrt turning into marital guidance for our parents - my mother is selfish and will only look after my child if she has nothing on!! My father has just realised that this selfish philospohy extends not only to the grandchildren but to him as well!! This is a real shock to his system - this is something me & my brother has lived with for years - so now I go through the "there there" motions as he realises what has been happening all these years!!
This coupled with Wales humiliating defeat at Scotland - I do not hold out much hope for opptomism in the Jones#;s household tonite!
On the plus side - said 6 year old has not been phased by mammy's trip to the pub (to keep Granpa company of course) and has now bonded with daddy (the good guy who stayed in - only cos he never had a ticket) SO HOPEFULLY daddy can put him to bed while I continue my affair with vodka!"!
